Spoonful only works if it stays safe. These are the expectations for every member, every day.
We are peers, not professionals
Everyone here is living with chronic illness or disability. Share your own experience freely, but never present it as medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Nobody on Spoonful is a verified healthcare professional.
Consent comes first
Ask before offering help, showing up, calling, or sharing anything about another member. A no needs no explanation, and changing your mind is always allowed.
Protect each other's privacy
Don't share someone else's health details, photos, messages or location. Keep your own exact address, phone number and financial details out of public posts.
No selling, scamming or soliciting
No money requests, no products, no recruiting, no fundraising links. If someone asks you for money, report it.
Kindness on hard days
People here are tired, in pain, or foggy. Assume good intent, keep it gentle, and let slow replies be normal.
Say something when it feels wrong
Report anything that feels unsafe and block anyone you'd rather not hear from. Reports go to our moderators, not to the person you reported.
